Wuling Reports Starlight 730 Minivan Sales: More Than 20,000 Vehicles Sold in 49 Days

On January 12, Wuling reported the first sales results for the Starlight 730 minivan: over 49 days on the market, cumulative sales exceeded 20,000 vehicles. Recall that the Wuling Starlight 730 was unveiled on November 12, 2025. At launch, four trims were announced, and the official price range is 73,000–109,800 yuan (0.8–1.2 million rubles). When trading in an old car under the trade-in program, the price drops to 71,000–105,800 yuan.

As for the design, the gasoline version and the plug-in hybrid are almost indistinguishable externally. Up front, they feature a large darkened spindle-shaped grille, and the lighting is done in an angular, quadrilateral style. The all-electric version is styled differently: instead of a grille, it has a closed panel, but the black insert that visually connects the headlights is retained. Separately, we note a practical detail—the model is equipped with sliding side doors.

The rear end is the same across all three variants. The taillights echo the shape of the front lights and are made slimmer, with polygonal outlines. The stated dimensions are as follows: 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height; the wheelbase is 2,910 mm.

The interior is finished in a two-tone scheme combining walnut brown and warm sandy-brown shades. The front panel is made in a “closed cockpit” format, and the centerpiece is a 12.8-inch screen, positioned as the largest in the class. The system supports vehicle-device interaction and offers several scenario modes, including relaxation, camping, and a “vehicle left without power” mode.

In terms of space, the Starlight 730 bets on a full 2+2+3 layout. The effective interior length reaches 3,331 mm, cabin width is up to 1,500 mm, and the distance between the middle and rear rows is 1,780 mm. A high rear-space utilization rate of 88% is also claimed. For family trips, a second-row pass-through up to 230 mm wide is provided, and headroom is promised to be comfortable for all passengers. Also claimed is the only in-class power-operated sliding side door with a concealed track: the opening height is 1,145 mm, the threshold is made low, and opening and closing are possible with a light motion; in addition, an assist handle is provided on the B-pillar.

The powertrain lineup includes three directions at once. The gasoline version received a 1.5-liter LC4 engine rated at 130 kW. The plug-in hybrid is equipped with a 1.5-liter LBG engine producing 78 kW; the CLTC electric-only range is 125 km, and the total range is stated at 1,100 km. The EV is fitted with a single 100 kW motor and a 60 kWh Shenlian battery: on the CLTC cycle it covers 500 km, and in 15 minutes you can add 200 km of range (source: news.yiche.com).
