The specifications of the upcoming new model for Russia are quite “executive”: the body has been stretched to about 5.3 meters, and the wheelbase has been increased to 3.2 meters. This format directly hints at a priority on comfort and ample space—not only for the driver, but also for passengers.

The exterior also deserves special attention. The sedan received a ceremonially styled front end with a large radiator grille, for which an exclusive platinum coating is claimed. This is precisely the element the manufacturer makes the key emphasis. The overall look is handled by a team led by Giles Taylor, well known in global automotive design.
The Hongqi brand itself calls the model Guoya, and the designation also includes the L1 index. The name is composed of two characters that can be interpreted as “country” and “elegance.” According to the company’s concept, the car is aimed at executives of large organizations, entrepreneurs, and representatives of government agencies.
As for the market launch, the car has already completed the mandatory procedures: certification has been finalized and the Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) has been obtained. Sales in Russia are planned to start in the first half of 2026. At the same time, the exact launch dates, equipment packages, and price lists are promised to be disclosed closer to the start of sales. In the cabin, as stated, the emphasis is on premium materials and a modern “ecosystem” focused on maximum convenience during trips (photo: Hongqi).
