Omoda Will Introduce the New C5 Fastback Crossover in Russia in 2026: Design to Be Updated in the Style of the Flagship C7

The Omoda brand is preparing another update for the Russian market: in 2026, the company intends to introduce the new C5 2026 fastback crossover. The information was announced during the presentation of the new model, as journalists reported.
As the brand’s representatives emphasize, the car will receive a completely redesigned look—changes will affect both the exterior and the interior. The company promises that the updated version will clearly express Omoda’s signature “DNA.” At the same time, the designers will retain the overall direction set by the flagship C7: we are talking about futuristic details and more dynamic body lines, which should make the C5’s silhouette look visually faster.

The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical details. Therefore, one can only use the current crossover as a reference, which is offered with two powertrains. The base option is a 1.5-liter engine producing 147 hp, available only with front-wheel drive. The more “senior” version is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and 150 hp. In addition, it comes with all-wheel drive (photo: Omoda).

It is worth recalling that the C5 has already undergone a facelift in Russia: at the end of 2024, the model received only minor cosmetic tweaks. The crossover itself became Omoda’s first car in our market, debuting in October 2022. Interestingly, Chery carved out the Omoda brand specifically for Russia, while in China this car is known as the Chery Omoda C5.
