Official Photos of the 2026 GAC Trumpchi M8 Minivan Released: Roof-Mounted LiDAR, SPA Seats, and a “Smart” HarmonySpace5 Cabin

Official photos of the 2026 model year GAC Trumpchi M8 have appeared online. The manufacturer has refreshed both the exterior and the interior, while also emphasizing more advanced “smart” equipment and increased comfort.

As for the design, the front end is executed in the brand’s signature Yipin Kirin styling. A large radiator grille is installed here, and on the sides there are headlights with a “7”-shaped graphic, making the minivan’s “face” look more refined. A 192-line lidar is mounted on the roof: according to the company, it allows the system to “see” farther and more accurately. Four trim themes are also announced, along with customizable welcome lighting, which should give the vehicle a more premium image.

Inside, the HarmonySpace5 system is used in the Hongmeng cockpit, and a separate entertainment screen is provided for rear passengers. In terms of convenience, the second row received “five-star” SPA seats: two chairs with a zero-gravity mode. The third row wasn’t overlooked either—electric seats are installed there with the ability to freely adjust the backrest angle.

The exact powertrain specifications have not yet been disclosed. As a reference point, the current Trumpchi Yearning M8 version with the Hongmeng “cockpit” is suggested, and for the 2026 Dream M8 a 2.0T plug-in hybrid is expected. New details are promised to be announced later (source: news.yiche.com).
