Jetour is preparing the 5-meter Zongheng SUV with Chery’s 904-hp CDM-O hybrid: the design has already been revealed

As the power “filling” for the new large Jetour, the flagship Chery CDM-O hybrid setup has been announced. This is a parallel system in which both a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 211 hp and electric motors can be connected to the wheels. In total, the system delivers an impressive 904 hp and 1,135 N·m, while a 34.1 kWh battery is responsible for the energy reserve.

At the same time, the appearance of the future SUV has already “surfaced” in the Chinese patent database: Chery secured the design rights in advance, and the images show that this is a vehicle noticeably larger than 5 meters. The straight roofline indirectly hints at the possibility of a third row of seats. At the rear, a side-hinged tailgate is предусмотрена, with a separate cargo box mounted on it, and widened wheel arches stand out along the sides. Unusual solutions also include cameras instead of the usual mirrors and a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof.

The front end is executed in a more “high-tech” vein: the headlights feature C-shaped graphics and are connected by a light strip, while the grille is frameless and cut through with numerous vertical elements. At the same time, the patent version looks close to production but not final: this is hinted at by the pop-out door handles, which in China will effectively be banned starting in 2027, so manufacturers will have to switch to classic or semi-flush solutions (photo: chinese-cars.rf).

The new model will continue Jetour’s separate off-road family with the Zongheng suffix. The first in this lineup in China was the hybrid G700, priced at 349.9–429.9 thousand yuan (about 3.9–4.8 million rubles). The new vehicle is expected to have a more “premium” feel and may become an alternative to the more brutal G700. It is possible that the model will receive the G800 index, but there is no official confirmation yet. One of the Zongheng series vehicles, we remind you, is also expected in Russia, approximately in 2026.
