The Urban city modification for the 2026 JAC T9 will receive several solutions that are usually expected from more expensive off-road versions. The list of updates includes electronic all-wheel-drive control, as well as a new forced rear differential lock function. All of this should help the pickup feel more confident on slippery surfaces and on light off-road terrain, without turning trips on asphalt into an ordeal.
Comfort in this version is set to be improved thanks to a different rear suspension. Instead of the previous setup, a Multilink multi-link design will appear. The manufacturer explicitly notes that the update is aimed at more pleasant everyday use, while also promising benefits outside the city.
Separately, let us recall the powertrains that already appear in the T9 lineup in Russia. This year, the model received a diesel modification: the engine produces 163 hp and 410 N*m, and it works together with an upgraded 8-speed automatic. The gasoline version is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 224 hp, and it is also paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
