While exact output figures for the new powertrain have not yet been disclosed, the main thing has already been confirmed: the extended 2026 Haval Raptor V7 Plus will come with the second-generation Hi4 plug-in hybrid system and all-wheel drive. The setup includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 156 hp and a pair of electric motors. Logically, the new model could replicate the layout of the regular hybrid Raptor, which uses a parallel configuration with two electric motors and a 2-speed DHT transmission; in total, the system develops 449 hp and 750 N·m, distributing torque between the axles.

As for dimensions, the Chinese ministry’s database already lists the V7 Plus measurements: 4912×1950×1905 mm, with the length specified including the spare wheel on the tailgate. The wheelbase is 2850 mm. This means an increase of 112 mm in both overall length and wheelbase compared with the current Raptor. Interestingly, the body-on-frame Haval H9 currently has the same wheelbase, although the V7 Plus remains a crossover.
In fresh street photos from China, the vehicle was spotted with almost no design surprises. The overall look mirrors the current Raptor, but there are details that make it easy to tell apart. First, a LiDAR unit is visible above the windshield. Second, an additional glass “window” has appeared in the cargo-area section, hinting at an extended rear end.
A bit of background: talk of the V7 Plus version began after it was added to the catalog of China’s Ministry of Industry in August 2025. The base Raptor has been sold in China since October 2023, and later received an update that was effectively a facelift: the lighting, grille, fender flares, and rear lights were revised.
To understand the positioning, let’s also recall the current lineup. In China, the hybrid Raptor is offered in six versions priced at 173.8–208.8 thousand yuan, while the gasoline version with a 2.0-liter ICE comes in two trims for 156.9 and 166.9 thousand yuan. The regular Raptor is noticeably more compact: 4800×1950×1843 mm with a 2738 mm wheelbase. It also has approach and departure angles of 25 and 32 degrees, 221 mm of ground clearance, a fording depth of up to 580 mm, and the ability to tow a trailer weighing up to 1.6 tons.
